The Best Music of 2012

The start of a new year is always a good time to look back at some of the great music that was created and released in the previous year. And as many of you have already done, I’ve once again decided to spotlight my favorite music from 2012 (along with a few disappointments). If you haven’t heard some of this music and would like to check it out, here’s a Spotify playlist for you.

2012, well played, and here’s to the hope of more great music in 2013 (I’m looking at you, Atoms For Peace).

The Best Music of 2011

Another year has come and gone, and, as always, it’s fun to recap the music that has held me, thrilled me, kissed me and killed me these past 12 months. I’ve broken this year’s list into 4 categories: The Top 10, Honorable Mentions, Biggest Surprises and Biggest Disappointments.

Also, if you haven’t heard any of these albums, I’ve created a Spotify playlist highlighting (almost) all of the albums listed below. If you use Spotify, click here

Cheers to the tunes of 2011 and here’s to (hopefully) a new year of inspiring rhythms, lyrics and melodies.
